Date with Scott

Ok so I know you are all wondering about the date with Scott. Let me tell the story...
So in Ward Prayer we do this thing where you can set people in the ward up on dates. Katie thought it would a really great idea to put my name in with Scott. That is about it with the background.

Scott and I went out with Jill and Tyler and Brock and McKenzie. Tyler was a bachelor in a King Henry Valentines activity and Jill won a date with him. Brock and McKenzie came for the fun of it. It was a lot of fun having Jill and McKenzie there...I like group dates.

We went to Macaroni Grill for dinner. It was really good. They serve bread while you wait for your food. I would of been perfectly content just eating that bread for dinner. Yum!!

Highlights from Macaroni Grill:
~Scott was sweet and asked if I could have plastic utensils instead of metal. Haha. But the waiter forgot, so I just dealt with the metal fork. I know what your thinking...he should of yelled at the waiter. He would of but I told him I was fine.

~Kenzie drawing on the white table clothe instead of the white paper Macaroni Grill so kindly provided us with.

~A "that was she said" joke...which definitely made an eight on a grading scale.

~Lots of Bread!! :)

~Pretending it was Kenzie's birthday again so we could have a waiter sing at our table. They don't just sign a stupid song and clap their hands. There was this guy with an amazing voice which sang a happy birthday song in Italian with an opera tone to it. It was so good. Plus we got a free desert to share with everyone.

After dinner we came back up to Provo and played laser tag. The teams were Boys verse Girls and we got our butts kicked. But to our defense they were cheating. Brock covered his sensor with his sweatshirt so even though I should of killed him a million times...I didn't. Plus I officially suck when it comes to shooting people and don't want to talk about it anymore. :)

McKenzie had so much fun ;) jk. But she looks so traumatized in this picture

Scott is hilarious. My stomach was so sore after the date from laughing so much. I had fun getting to know him and he is a great guy. I had a really good time.

McKenzie Turns 20!!

So the birthday chain started in December with Shannon and Erin turning 20. Jill was the next to follow in January. The latest was McKenzie's birthday at the end of February. Katie is the next birthday with April 13th and then mine!!
Way back with Shannon's birthday a tradition blossomed and has continued since. On the girl's birthday we toilet paper the door opening and write all over her mirror. We do this at like 4am so we can "surprise" them with a wonderful wrapped door and confetti on the mirror. It is really funny seeing everyone in the morning all bright eyed and bushy tailed...just kidding...it is the complete opposite. One time Erin woke up and started washing her face...she is so not stealth like a jackal.

McKenzie planned for us all to go to dinner with her older and younger brothers' apartments at Olive Garden. It was so much fun meeting her older brother, Trent, and his roommates (Carl, Austing, and Josh). It was a funny party and Kenzie got to blow a candle out on a mint. So, after dinner we were all waiting for our checks to come, but they never did. Not so long after we found out that Kenzie's parents payed for the whole dinner. That was so sweet and thoughtful for them. I really appreciated it.

As roommates and friends...we decide if we want to go to dinner and pay or throw a birthday bash for the birthday girl. For Kenzie we decided to throw a birthday party. For any of you who don't know...when ward prayer ends on Sunday evening...anything is game after that. So, McKenzie's birthday get together was after ward prayer. We had tons of people come over throughout the night and hangout. Jill and Erin were amazing and made TONS and TONS of cookies after church. They then made Ice Cream Sandwiches, which turned out to be delectable (my word of the week). It was fun seeing everyone and I know Kenzie saw some people she hasn't seen in awhile.

I just want to say that McKenzie is honestly one of the sweetest girls I have met in my life. She truely cares about people and wants to help them. Everyone loves her because she is just such a GREAT FRIEND. I know I can talk to her whenever I need someone to comfort me and she knows just what to say. I am so happy she ended up being one of my roommates and really good friends.
