HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Who said three single (kind of...Ms. Jillien Joye) girls can't have fun on Valentine's Day?
Our night started out with a yummy dinner at a Mongolian BBQ place in Springville, UT. Then, we made sugar cookies and ate some conversational hearts. Although personally...I really don't like them. But I had my one for the year in honor of the holiday.
Next..."The Vow"
Jarom came and joined us for the movie.
It was a GREAT night and I spent time with people I love with all my heart... which is what Valentines Day means to me. It is not Singles Awareness Day because I have tons of people in my life who love me and I love them. They make me a better person and have shaped my life in one way or another. So remember the people you love and be grateful for not being completely alone. And if you do feel completely alone, let me introduce you to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where we are never truely alone. :)

Daddy's Retreat

After finding out I have a job...my dad made a trip to Utah to bring the rest of my stuff I left at home. Yes, he did just help me move this same stuff from Utah to California about 6 months ago...that is a dedicated Dad!! He got a room at the La Quinta Inn in Orem and ended up staying over a week.

These are the only pictures I got...I went with Dad and Jarom to watch them play virtual golf.
It was pretty interesting and quite funny to watch them figure it out.
It was SO much fun having Dad out here. We didn't do anything over the top crazy, which is what made it so fun. We just relaxed, ate, and enjoyed each other's company. Dad was sick so he slept a lot but it was exctly what the doctor ordered. And having him here was what I ordered...
This is an old picture from March '11, but I feel like it sums up our relationship. I have always felt like I had a good relationship with me dad, but I have gotten a lot closer to him since I left home. Whether he likes it for not, I call him almost every day to check-in or update. He has been there for me through my major life-changing decisions to give me sound advice and sometimes, just the support I need. He truly has been a rock in my life. I am grateful he has been able to take more time off work and hang out with me. I thank Heavenly Father every day for making me a part of this amazing family. :)
