The Easter Bunny is Amazing!!

This past weekend Katie invited me up to her house in Rexburg, ID. I had a blast spending time with her family. Katie talks about them just as much as I talk about mine. I know she loves her family so much and they mean the world to her. Her parents and family were so nice to me and made me feel so welcomed. It was great to get away from Provo the week before finals and have a mini vacation before I have to study my butt off.

Katie and I arrived in Rexburg around 6 on Friday. I met her mom first and then her dad came home from the gym. He was wearing this shirt with the sleeves cut off and these short shorts. I could tell he was trying to make me uncomfortable to get a reaction out of me and make fun of me. He comes into the room where Katie, her mom, and I were and asked what I thought about his shorts. Now I knew a lot about Katie's family and knew they are sarcastic...so I responded with...Are they Katie's? He gave me the best look and then started laughing. From that point on he knew he would have to try a lot harder to get a reaction from me. I was so happy he took it the way I wanted.

For the evening plans, we went out to some REALLY great Thia food and then to see the Knowing. I would like to say that is one of the weirdest movies I have seen in awhile and would not recommend it to anyone. It started off an action/suspense, but then turned into a stupid scaring movie in the middle. But had the best ending when it turned into a Sci-Fi, with a little hint of the Bible in it. As you can tell it was all over the place, so only go see this movie if your feeling bipolar. :)

On Saturday morning I met up with Danielle and Neil. It was great seeing them. We went to breakfast and caught up with each other. They seem so happy and I am so happy for them. I still can't believe my best friend from High School is married! But she seems so happy...but I would like to accredit some of that to the fact she just finished up finals on Friday. :)

Saturday afternoon we went to Idaho Falls for shopping and dinner with Katie's sister, sister-in-law, and mom. We went to TJ Max, Bed Bath and Beyond, plus the mall. After shopping we went to Chili's were I had one of the best desserts I have in a long time. It was like this warm mini chocolate cake with ice cream on top. The ice cream was covered with a hard chocolate shell. So this was pretty much the best dessert ever.

Sunday was Easter!! I woke up to a basket the Easter Bunny left me. I was so happy to see that the Easter bunny really exist because it can find me anywhere. This was my first Easter away from home, so I was nervous. We had this big lunch/dinner before we left. Katie's sister and brother, plus their spouses were there. And so was her mom's parents. Katie's birthday is tomorrow so she got to pick the meal. It was chicken Parmesan, spaghetti, and whipped jello. It was SO good!! After the food we had a strawberry cheesecake ice cream cake for dessert and Katie blew out the candles.

I am so grateful to the Bartons for allowing me to spend time with their family and I had a BLAST!! Thanks!!
