...NEVER SAY NEVER...
Yes we did and we loved it...well, I loved it!!
I have been wanting to go see Justin Bieber's movie Never Say Never. Rick and I went last Saturday. I actually really enjoyed it. But I guess that doesn't say much since I still watch the Disney Channel from time to time. Anyways...it was a documentary on his rise to fame. I learned a lot about Justin and felt Bieberized by the time I left the movie theatre.
But I wasn't the only one to feel the power of Bieber. At the very end, there was a sing-a-long to the song Baby. People were dancing and singing at the top of their lungs...Rick and I might have been one of them. But apparently we aren't as dedicated as some.
...BYU BASKETBALL...
BYU Basketball has been a bi-weekly event in my life for the last couple of months. Living with two boys did influence the start of this ritual, but that is no longer the case. I look forward to watching them play. I can honestly say I bought a Jimmer Ferdette jersey at Walmart. If you haven't heard of Jimmer it is time you crawl out of your crave because he has been EVERYWHERE and for a good reason. Jimmer makes shots that leaving you in awe of his awesomeness. As of last Saturday, our future looked so bright...
...but we hit a major speed bump this last week...
Brandon Davies was removed from the BYU Basketball team due to violating the honor code. Loosing him made us loose this last Wednesday :(, the first lose I have witnessed. It isn't because Davies is this amazing player we can't live without...that person would be Jimmer!! It is just because we had a system and it worked. Everyone is out of sync trying to fill in the gap left by Davies. Hopefully we can recover and finish off the season strong. But I have to commend BYU. Taking Davies out has ruined our chances of being the number 1 seed for the tournament...which was a pretty far dream anyway...but that isn't the point. The point is there are things in life more important than sports. I am so proud to be a fan of a team who puts their standards before the world because it is our choices and actions that define us. But that doesn't make watching the scoreboard not be in are favor any easier...
