Sometimes...Adulthood scares me!!

I started this about 3 months ago...
...and finally finished 2 days ago.
MORE FREEDOM comes with adulthood
BUT
so does MORE RESPONSIBILITY!!

Right now I am sitting on this couch trying to relax, blog, and watch a movie...but every few seconds my mind becomes inturrupted as questions/decisions with these so called adult responsibilties flood in. I have discovered a common factor and if made more abundantly...could solve all my problems and ease my mind. MONEY. That's it. MONEY. I mean...why couldn't it grow on trees? It is made with paper which comes from trees AND money and leaves are both green. But sadly, this is impossible and here I sit. I now understand 1/1000 of the stress my dad would carry on his shoulders as he worked day in and day out to build a business which has been able to provide for his family. I have been working for almost 10 months. It took me a few months before I stopped living pay check to pay check. Within the last couple of months I have been able to save a little. Just as I thought I was starting to become financially stable...work slows down. Let me break this down...

LESS SICK BABIES = LESS NEED FOR NURSES = CALL OFFS = LESS SHIFTS = LESS $$$

LESS $$$ = DECREASE IN SAVINGS TO PAY BILLS = MEGAN :(

I was talking with my dad the other day and asked if it is bad that I have been praying to work which means sick babies. His response...It's better than praying for death. Thank you Dad for the good laugh.

...what I am getting at...
Loving my Job came Easily
but
Loving the Bills did Not

I am grateful I have wonderful parents who have taught me to save and be financially minded
but
sometimes desire the past when it was 10 cents per dead fly and a smile to cover the rest.

Oh the good old days

Festive October

HAUNTED FOREST
Erin and I met up with Jillian and Jordan to experience the joys of the Haunted Forest. I laughed and cried as I walked on the dark path with hidden characters waiting to jump out and scare me half to death.
For Erin, it was the chainsaw. The guy came out from behind her and she went completely white. She ran about 20 feet and looked back to find the guy had singled out and was running straight at her. She ran...OH DID SHE RAN...seriously a quarter of a mile. It was the funniest thing I had seen that night. Every time I think of a chainsaw I bust up laughing...which has been quite a lot with all the Halloween signs reminding me of that epic night.  Also watching Jordan fall flat on his back after the slide was hilarious.
All in All...the Haunted Forest was a Success

GARDNER VILLAGE
Jill, Erin, and I decided to enjoy the Witchfest first hand at Gardner Village. I was SO disappointed when I found out it was the cool thing to be a witch while you were. Next year!! But this is the experience from this year...
Pictures with the amazing witch displays.

We tried on SEVERAL hats...

And pictures with the big giant pumpkin
and the random little boy who jumped in!!

My night was made when about 75 women started country line dancing to Boots Scootin Boogie!! Thank You Utah!!

HALLOWEEN would like to PRESENT...
 Toddlers and Tiaras
I loved this idea ever since Jill told me. It has been a frequently show on my mind ever since TLC brought us Honey BooBoo Child.
Because I had to work on Halloween, we celebrated the Saturday before. We went bowling and ended the night at a dance party brought to you by The Village at South Campus.
People kept telling us Jenn was our Bad A Mom. She totally pulled it off.

I had SO much fun celebrating my Halloween with these sweet girls.
Although I would of LOVED to see these ADORABLE NIBBLINGS

Nice Gift for The Newleyweds

One fine day this was happening...

Just a family enjoying some amazing tv in the comfort of their home when this came on...

We watched the commercial over and over laughing our heads off. The catch phrase "Ragu...he has been through enough" became a frequent saying while I lived with Hayley in the condo with a slight modification to..."Ragu...she has been through enough." It couldn't be more true when you spend a majority of your spare time with an engaged couple. When will I learn...

Well to thank them for always making me feel so welcomed in their home, I wanted to give them a sweet gift in return. Jarom would always comment on how when they got married...he was NOT going to put a wreath on his door. You could always tell who were married in this complex because their doors were all decorated with a wreath. So one day when I was sick home from work and after being exhausted from laying around...I made this with only one burn!!

Another Sister...

Hayley has been my friend for almost two years and now we get to be sisters!! I am excited to have her in the family. I decided to go down memory lane...

I think this is our very first picture together...
It was a stake dance I had to help at. I was in charge of the photobooth. It is funny to think I am taking this picture for Hayley with her phone and I didn't even know her name. haha!!
When we combined wards, I got put on the activities committee by Hayley.
It was after going down to Temple Square I first thought Jarom and Hayley could be good together. On the way down I learned she is super sacrastic and can hold her own.  Plus she could give Jarom a run for his money... and mouth.
Some friends were singing at a ward activity and I asked Hayley if she wanted to go with me. We made posters!! I remember being nervous to see if Hayley would want to go with me because we really hadn't hungout outside of church activities too much. I don't think a lot of people understand how shy and reserved I can be socially.
Then my best friend started dating one of her best friends and got married... This is when everyting changed!! Thanks to a sweating cake, long car ride, and Idaho Fall benches...
Who knew that's what it would take for Jarom and Hayley's walls to come down and flirting to start?
I went from hanging out with two of my friends to being the third wheel...
It was SO FUN being able to help Jarom prepare to get ENGAGED!!

I remember asking Jarom on our way back from ring shopping how he felt? If he was happy. Of course he said... why do you ask a question you already know the answer to? Because I wanted to hear it from him...and I'm a girl. :) Then he said something like this... "Yes...I am happy. Honestly I don't remember what is was like being single because Hayley has been such a huge part of my life. Everyday involves her. When I see my future with her, I forget about the past without her." Maybe I shouldn't have quoted that because I am sure I edited to what I wanted to hear ;) I just remember being so excited for him. I was there as he struggled through dating and finding girls worth dating. So to know that his love for Hayley could erase the frustration and loneliness some of the years held was amazing and also inspiring to me...#ninthwheel.
 ...And then he GOT ENGAGED...
I was SO excited for Hayley to see the ring!!
 ENGAGEMENT PICTURES

I was SO good at taking the serious engagements...so we tried out the cheesy engagement poses next

Through the fence wins the most awkward and funniest moment to watch of the night...and that is saying a lot.
Got to show off that ring

Hayley can just be so emotional sometimes.

THE BRIDAL SHOWER

I can honestly say I have thrown quite a few bridal showers and this was the first one of the first times what I imagined became reality. It was fun throwing a bridal shower for my friend and soon to be sister!!
1 WEEK COUNTDOWN DINNER

EVENING DINNER BEFORE WEDDING DAY
This day was crazy. I ran home from working a night shift to pack and head to the airport. My mom and Trace met me at the airport.

We ran to lunch to before we needed to go pick up Jarom from the train station. Following this we ran back to the airport to pick up McKay before heading home to get everything ready for the big adult dinner pre-wedding.

The dinner was amazing!! My parents had the deck all fancy with catered food. So yummy!!
Following dinner we went up to the pool house to watch their wedding video.

...And then there was one...

It was SO much hanging out with my amazing family.

WEDDING DAY!!
Before Jarom and Hayley went to get married, the bridal party had a small lunch at this amazing italian resturant in Folsom. If I could...I would married this above Lemon Cheesecake. It is the most amazing thing I have ever tasted in my entire life!! I sure would be fat and happy!!
The above picture needs no explaination.

McKay and I had the pleasure to hangout with all the Niblings why the endowed grown-ups went to the sealing. I use to think it was sad that I wasn't able to watch my siblings get married BUT then I realized the blessing that they will all be able to come to my sealing. I am excited for that day to come when I go into the temple and know that my family can be there with me. And these sweet kids will be waiting for me...
Until then...CONGRATULATIONS TO THESE TWO LOVE BIRDS!!

THE RECEPTION

Hayley and her family did an amazing job setting up for the reception.  I remember looking at the ideas Hayley pinned on Pinterest. It was beautiful!! Sadly I do not have a lot of pictures. (cough, cough Ashley).
THE FAREWELL
So there was some miscommunication on decorating the car. So thanks to the cleverness of my family and the supplies from the Boberg's refrigerator...we came up with this brillance.
The baseball bases seemed fitting since their first kiss was on first base. The butter...see above picture of The Ten Reasons Jarom Fell In Love With Hayley.
So cute!!

...Sweet goodbyes...
It was hard for Parker to say goodbye to the woman him and Jarom married in the temple today.

THE REST OF VACATION...

...I spent enjoying times with the Niblings. I painted Makayla's nails. Had Nibling sleepovers. Tried new pinterest hair styles. Spent time with my parents. I love hanging out and watching tv with my parents. It was hard to leave to say goodbye...
