Christmas Party

Last year I did a Halloween Party...this year I did a Christmas Party!!

Decorating Christmas sugar cookies has been a tradition in my family as long as I can remember, so that's what I did for my party.
I was SO grateful to Jarom for rolling out and cutting the dough (my least favorite part...I am too much of a perfectionist and impatient).

...but he had fun...

We made a lot of cookies so people could decorate a lot.

I wanted there to be a large range of creative options for the artistic minds I knew who were coming...

Jill, Trevor, Tyler, Chelsea, Michelynah, Angelica, Brandon, Jamie, Kendra, and Liz

Kendra and Brandon

Thanks to Spencer (above in red shirt) I had little presents all around my apartment the next day as I cleaning to move out. Nothing too big...just muddy buddies everywhere!

Alisa and Brad

It was a GREAT party!! I love Christmas and I love my friends, so it couldn't of been a better night. :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

It's Christmas Time...I Love This Time of Year!!
To start of the Christmas Celebrations...I went to Temple Square with my friends. Going to Temple Square is one of my favorite traditions even if it is snowing. Luckily this year it was barely snowing :)

Still couldn't find the black nativity but they had a lot of other ethnicity's

The Gang minus Liz because she pulled a disappearing act. So these amazing friends don't believe I could give up soda. SO I agreed to a bet of 30 days without soda. Their main argument was that I was addicted to the caffeine and would go through withdrawals if I went off of it. I knew I wasn't addicted so at the end of this bet I get lots of soda in return. But they ended up changing the agreements towards the end of the bet that I could have any drinks with carbonations. Normally I wouldn't care except they won't even let me have Sparkling Apple Cider on New Years Eve...How rude!! Most of them didn't even think I would make it 3 days and I am now going on 11 days without any. Although according to my sister Tami, she thinks I am going to go through a Drive Thru and just not tell anyone. So now I am a Soda Addicted Liar. I will prove them ALL wrong and never feel guilty for drinking as much soda as I want ever again!! Rick and Tyshelle are getting married in March!!

I couldn't be happier for the two of them...

well, maybe if they served Diet Dr.Pepper at their wedding. :)

...Thanksgiving Point Lights...

For years I have driven by Thanksgiving Point around Christmas time and seen their lights from the freeway. This year I want to go actually see them up close, so I dragged McKay and Jill up there with me.

It was a Drive Thru and you paid per car. It didn't take more than 15 minutes to get through all of the lights.

Jill and I poked out of the car's sun roof while McKay drove the car. It was FREEZING!!

At the end of the road they had these beautiful paintings depicting the story of Christ's birth.

After, we decided to go walk around the stores at Thanksgiving Point. Jill and I shared a piece of Peppermint Chocolate Cake...it was yummy! :)

Then McKay got to see girl talk at its best ...Gardner Village...

I love going to Gardner Village. I still remember the first time I went with my parents back when Tami, Weston, and Makayla lived in Utah. It was around Halloween time and we took Makayla to ride the ponies. Ever since then I have tried to make it to Gardner Village once a year. This year it was during Christmas time :) I took Jill up there because she hasn't ever been

Yucky ice...one of the reasons I don't like Utah. But this year I have been blessed because it hasn't really snowed...knock on wood.

These are just some of my Christmas Adventures. Tomorrow I am throwing a Christmas Party with Sugar Cookie Decorating and Socializing.
