Wow...What a Week!!

The Week of Monday April 13th to Friday April 17th was a crazy. Here is the breakdown:

Monday April 13th...

KATIE'S 19th BIRTHDAY

Katie's birthday was very simple, but tons of fun. I drove my car to campus so we could leave during a break to get some lunch. We just ran to one of our favorite spots, Costa Vida.

Later that day we went to Spoon Me for some ice cream...you get a free one on your birthday(This was of course after we watched 24). Jarom, McKenzie, Erin, Shannon, Me, and Katie were the ones to go to Spoon Me. But we couldn't leave without singing happy birthday to her. Erin was kind enough to start us off and another random group there was kind enough to help us finish. Now that we had completely embarressed Katie, we could leave. Opps...after Erin threw her spoon into the lamp. Her mark will forever be at Spoon Me starting 04/13/2009.

Katie and I met just this last year at King Henry. I went into an apartment with 5 stangers. I was scared of all the drama and hormones I was getting myself into. But I am so glad I took the risk. I have found such a wonderful friend. Katie has been there whenever I needed her...whether for a good chick flick or a listener. She is a really great listener. We can talk for hours about absolutely nothing. I am so happy she is my friend...that is if she hasn't just killed me for writing about her. :)

Wednesday April 15th...

A couple nights before Katie's birthday we were talking in her room. She was telling me about how she had always wanted a surprise birthday party. I laughed because that was the opposite of me. So I started to think...

As an apartment we either all go out to celebrate each others birthdays or throw a party. I was talking to Jill and we decided to surprise Katie the Wednesday after her birthday with a dinner at Olive Garden. Katie and I had already been planning on going anyway this week, so it wasn't too hard to figure out the details. The problem came when Katie decided I wasn't fun enough and she wanted to wait til every one could make it. She kept trying to get people to come. She asked Shannon to join us and poor Shannon didn't know what to say...so...she just said yes. But then called her back later and told Katie her sister's truck broke down and they needed some help. So I ran to pick Katie up and the whole way she was like... "why don't we wait" ... "are you sure you want to go." I just kept telling her this is something I really wanted to do...she couldn't say no to me. It was a Reading Day before Finals so Katie had been on campus all day and definitely needed a break.

When we got to Olive Garden nothing went the way we planned. Jill, McKenzie, Erin, and Shannon went 30 minutes earlier to get a table. Jill talked to the Hostess about our surprise and to take Katie and I to their table. Well...that didn't happen. We ended up being seated on the opposite side of the restaurant. As soon as she left, I got up to go to the "bathroom." I talked to the Hostess and explained the situation. We worked it out and came to move us like five minutes later. She said the Boothe had been reserved without her knowing and needed to move us...haha...obvious. But Katie was still acting dumb. :) We were moved and SURPRISE!! Katie started laughing. Everything started to add up in her head and instead of keeping her first belief we were all weird...she remembered how sweet we all are.

Later that night was invited by my cousin Ryan to go to the Tumbling Gym. A bunch of his friends and Jarom's friends were meeting there. I was really excited to hang out with them and have relax.

This is a video of me attacking Jarom.

The night ended up with a snow storm and me having on of my best falls ever. It was one of those falls were you see your legs at your eye level and think...oh crap!! I fell flat on my back and then rolled to my stomach. But that wasn't it...when you have a high impact + snow + an incline, you slide. By the end I was laughing so hard...I just layed in the snow for about a minute. I hate it when you fall and no one sees you. I also hate it when you fall and someone does see you, but won't laugh. I was lucky enough to have Colin watch my fall and laugh with (or at) me. And this was my debut into my birthday because the clock was showing 12:00am.

Thursday, April 16th...

What I woke up to...

...and my least favorite part...

THE SNOW...THE STUPID SNOW
But Katie quickly resolve that problem by taking me out to breakfast for my birthday at Kneaders. The French Toast was amazing and I will be definitely going there again.
I came home and went to open my birthday present from my parents. I was so excited because this present had been sitting on my dresser for a couple of days...it was torture. But DEFINITELY worth waiting for...
...a Juicy Contour Wallet!!
I was so happy and loved it so much. I think my favorite part was the coin pocket which says Mad Money on it. I also got a really cute hair band which was my bow on top of my present.

My brother Jarom has his moments of sweetness and this was definitely one of them. I got a call earlier in the week where he told me not to plan on doing anything around 9:00pm on my birthday. That was all he told me.

I came home from reviews and studying to find this wonderful sign on my balcony. SURPRISE!!

But that wasn't it...

He came over early to decorate.

My birthday would not be complete without Zac Effron making an appearance. Bryan and Ashley were able to come to my party. Caden was a huge hit. :) I was so happy they could come. I loved having them so close so we could hang out. So many of my friends were surprised my family would come...my first was reaction...they aren't old. :) But then their statement was followed by "that is so neat." I completely agree!!
Jarom started the party off with a poem for me...
This year there were boys, but they never touched her lip
In fact the only thing that did, was the latest gossip
She enjoys having fun and watching a good flick
But whatever you do, don’t steal her bread stick
She’s a pretty nice gal when she’s got a full tank of Diet Coke
and with lots of paper she can put together a pretty good practical joke
She’s on a personal quest to fix this recession
Just ask Spoon Me, Costa Vida or the Olive Garden
She would sell her soul to the devil for the chance to go on,
A spicy hot date with that singing sensation: Zack Effron
This year she conquered anatomy, physiology and the sorts
And after this week she’ll be free from flash cards and reports
And now that you’re 20, to those teen years you say goodbye
This new year welcomes adulthood; it’s about time you gave it a try
So there you have it, after tonight we will have eaten and toasted,
I guess all that is left to say is well, “boom roasted

Ashley was so sweet to pick me out a wonderful cake, but I think she is trying to send me a message.

All my roommates helped Jarom and I am grateful for that. But never again should Katie be able to handle a knife that size.
Jarom and Katie made quite the entrance and I think people enjoyed it.
The best entrance of the night, sorry Katie.

Jarom's best idea for the party...
He got milk with an assortment of syrups to mix the way they wanted.
What would a milk bar be with out shots.
The Milk Bar was the happening spot.

The Party was a blast and here are some pictures.

Looks like the Milk Bar is working...

I want to thank Jarom for everything he did. He is such an awesome brother and I appreciate everything he does.
The week ended with finals and going home!!
