Where to start...About two weeks ago I had the guts to ask my dad if he would fly me home for Mom's birthday. After three weeks of debate and much kissing up...HE DID IT!!
The plan was for me to fly out Thursday, September 24th and have Tami pick me up at the airport. I hung out with Larsen's all Thursday without Mom knowing I was in California 1 mile from our house. I had tons of fun hanging out with Makayla and Evan that day. I also surprised Makayla when we went to pick her up from Girl Scouts. We didn't want to put the weight and responsibility on her of keeping our long thought out secret. :) She was really happy to see me and I was definitely ecstatic to see her. Evan really didn't understand everything going on, but was excited I was home for a visit.
So Surprising Mom for her birthday date, which was to take place on Friday, took a lot of consideration and planning.
We decided to make clues for her to open throughout the day leading up to the main event...BRAD PAISLEY CONCERT!!
Friday morning came...so off Tami and I went to surprise Mom.
Here is the secret footage...
Yes folks...you heard correctly...she was up BEFORE 8 AM!!
I know...we were shocked too.
Clue #1: Get her eyebrows plucked
Clue #2: Pedicures(This one was for all of us...Yay!)

She had foot surgery on this last Monday and wanted her toes cute :)
Tami and I really had to sacrifice to support her in this desire.
Clue #3: Cheesecake FactoryTami and I are really indecisive when it comes to choosing where to eat, so we made her. She decided to choose the Cheesecake Factory...Tami and I had no complaints.

On the way we stopped at a bakery in Nut Tree to 'keep our blood sugar up' as we made the journey to the restaurant.
Clue #4: Shopping at Walnut CreekWe ended up shopping and browsing the Walnut Creek stores. It was fun because we didn't go in a lot of our normal stores. Believe it or not, the majority of the time was spent in non-clothing stores.
Clue #4: Brad Paisley Here We Come!!
My amazing dad not only purchased tickets for me to fly home, but tickets for us to see Brad Paisley in concert. It was tons of fun and lots of new interesting memories were made.
Of Course we had to get shirts...

We all got a different shirt...

Brad Paisley was AMAZING. The concert was held in an outdoor theatre with lots of drunk people.

The one thing Tami and I didn't think out was the car ride back. We got out of the concert a little before 12am and had a 2 1/2 hour drive ahead of us. Oops!

Sunday was Mom's actual birthday!!

I had the pleasure of making the cake and Evan had the pleasure of leaving his finger prints in the cake :)

Mom decided to be all cool when blowing out here candles by spinning the cake. It didn't help her blow them out...it took her a little while to blow both of the candles out. But Evan sure looks amazed.

Monday Mom had her foot surgery and it went really well. The rest of the week was spent relaxing and taking care of Mom.

Evan: "Aunt Began...I like you"
Me: "Ah, you like me?"
Evan: "Yeah, I like you Aunt Began"
I get a phone call at Mom's house and it was Evan...
Evan: "Aunt Began, I need to have you."
I was at the house about 30 minutes before this phone call and left with dad. Dad went back to their house and Evan was upset I didn't return with him.

I don't know what to say about this girl other than I just love her and watching her grow up :)
Happy 52nd Birthday Mom!
Thanks Dad for flying me out :)
Tami, Thanks for picking me up and helping me plan Mom's Birthday
Brashely, Thanks for being there for me when I had to return to Provo. :)
I had so much fun going home and now I definitely feel ready to start Nursing School on Monday!!
