When Tracball and I Meet...

Nursing School Here I Come!!
I AM ACCEPTED!!
This picture was taken in Summer 07 when I first started my college experience here in Utah. I worked as a Clinician Aide at the BYU Health Center and LOVED IT!!
I will be attending Utah Career College for Nursing in October. I am so excited. The school is so small compared to BYU, but I am ready for a change. My whole life I have wanted to be a nurse and I am finally on my way!!
BYU started this last Monday and even though I start school in a couple of weeks...I feel like a loser. I have always made fun of people at King Henry who don't work or go to school...and now I am one...or atleast for a little while. I don't think it will hit me that I don't have a life until next week because I have had a lot of little stuff to get done.
Saint George with the Simmons!
I have known the Simmons since I was twelve, but they moved away from good old Shingle Springs when I was sixteen. We try to see each other whenever possible. So I drove down to Saint George to see them and make some amazing new memories.
Here is some of the things we did:
*McKay attempted to teach me how to play racquetball...didn't go so well. We ended up making up our own game and I gave him a welt.
*Went to Zions National Park and hiked through a river between mountains.

*Saw As You Like It at the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City.

Be One With Nature...No Thanks!
So Jarom approaches me one day and invites me to go on a camping trip over night with some of his friends (mine too).
Me: um...do I have to walk up hill?
Jarom: Yeah, but it isn't that bad. Just a little incline.
Me: Alright, sounds fun.

BULL CRAP!! I pretty much hiked up to the top of this mountain to a hidden lake. Granted the lake was really pretty, but the hike was miserable. I took my school back pack because that was about it for my hiking gear and bungied my sleeping bag on. Thankfully, Lydia and Angela didn't mind taking it a little slower for the less experienced hikers, actually just one, me! The hike was like a hour and half straight up a mountain. We got to the lake just as it was getting dark and had enough time to unpack our stuff.

As soon as the sun went down...it got cold real quick. We all huddled together to keep warm. Even though I was fighting against the freezing temperature, we still managed to have some really great laughs.
I decided to follow Jarom's methods for sleeping since he is a eagle scout...wow was I wrong. I slept on a shower curtain with it wrapped around my sleeping bag roughing it. If anyone knows be, they are probably shocked...Don't worry...I was too...but I lived to tell about it. Actually, when I got in the sleeping bag, it wasn't too bad. I would do it again. :) (not the hiking)
It was beautiful when I woke up...

Some people were insane and decided to go into the water...you can see how that turned out...

I headed back down with Jarom, Brad, and Scott. What goes up must go DOWN!! Lets just say the trip back down was easy for me, but not for some. Some people were more gravitationally challenged than I...just kidding. I am not one to talk. But this is one of Scot's more safe falls. The one previous almost landed him off a cliff. That would of been bad.
Even though it was a tough journey, I enjoyed spending time with Jarom. I am so glad that I am able to have some great experiences with him while we both go to college.
