Makayla 6th Birthday!!

HaPPy 6th BiRthDay MaKayLa!!

Makayla turns six on Friday, but due to everyone having crazy lives...her birthday party was on Tuesday.
Preparation started Monday night. I went over to help Tami decorate the cake and prepare for the party.

I was the professional color artist of Makayla's scavenger hunt posters.

Tami did an amazing job with Makayla's cake. She baked Makayla's cake (mostly) by scratch and this delicious cream cheese strawberry icing. I was pretty much in charge of helping her arrange and decorate the cakes.

And the final product...after countless hours...

Tami always does a great job putting on a party.

I did all the crepe paper :)

Tami bought the GOOD soda...YUM!!

Caden definitely approves.

My personal favorite from the night...Caden watching Pin the Bow on a Hedgehog

It was a fun night and I can't believe...

*Makayla is 6
*Graduated from Kindergarten
*Can Read (better than me)

And she is just growing up way to quick!!

Caden's 1st and Dad's 53rd!!

To Celebrate Caden's Birthday we went to the Zoo...

For Dad's Brithday we went to BJs... After returning home and resting...next came the gifts and cake...
Dad and Caden showing off the Shoulder Shrug

He didn't even cry!

Bry made the cake!

Caden loved eating his cake...he got it everywhere.

All clean again and time to call it a night. It was a fun day full of adventures.

Memorial Weekend

Memorial Weekend started off with a big bang when my dad decided to buy a new barbecue. Ribs were the first thing on the menu along with pineapple.

(here is a close up and yes...it was a yummy as it looks)

We ate it outside on our amazing deck. I gave Evan some ribs to try and had to get him his own because he wouldn't leave mine alone. Ribs are one thing I don't like to share...especially these one.

The newest addition to our deck is a kid pool. Mom went and picked it up at Costco for Makayla, Evan, and Caden to play in since our pool is out of service. But not for long hopefully...some amazing plans have already been drawn up. :) Hopefully they will include a water slide!! YAY!!

Evan didn't have a chance...poor guy

Saturday Bryan was in charge of dinner. He made mouth watering barbecue chicken pizza...homemade dough and everything. YUM!!
So a little irony to this post...I didn't get any pictures taken on Memorial Day. Opps. It was just so much fun. We went to my dad's memorial day celebration at the Mortuary and brought a box of doughnuts back. The afternoon was spent playing Rook, hanging out, and watching the kids play in the pool. Tami was in charge of dinner and they made pineapple cheeseburgers. Bryan decided to make homemade buns. It was a great day...a great weekend!!

Nanny Diaries

I love being home because I was lucky enough to still work as a nanny for this amazing family. They use to live in Folsom, but had to relocate for Dan's job to Walnut Creek. So I drive the commute Tuesday mornings and come back Thursday night. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes...so not to bad. Driving has never bothered me...I just listen to music or call and annoy people. :)

Besides me loving the family...I just love my job.

...it is full of love...

...cardboard boxes...

...toys that aren't suppose to be...

...and playtime...
It is seriously the best job ever!!
