"Man, it has been one of those days
When I have been thinking pour me
I have no right to complain…"
When I have been thinking pour me
I have no right to complain…"
1) I am grateful for my parents and their endless support and love no matter how many times I make mistakes. Their desire and ability to help me whether it is temporal or spiritual. I love them SO much and know I can never truly express how grateful I am Heavenly Father sent me to them.
2) I am grateful for my brothers and sisters. They are always there to provide a new perspective to my life, mostly a sarcastic point of view. I love that I am the youngest and go to them for their years of experience or advice...or pure common sense.
3) I am grateful for the police. I have a lot of positive experiences with them lately between the peeper creeper and this car accident. Today the cop didn't give a ticket for the accident...only a warning. He said he appreciated my honesty with the accident and admitting fault. I know not getting a ticket my sound so stupid and small...but this act seriously gave me a little hope in my future :) and my luck turning around.
4) I am grateful for my phone. It is a small technical advance that keeps me sane by staying in contact with my family asap and providing contact to someone who can help during dangerous situations. It allows me to express myself to people I know who care and will listen on the other side.
5) I am grateful for my friends. I have been so blessed to have amazing friends. Jill sent me a text saying we will make it through this week. I know she is fighting to get through this week and I know we are there for each other through it all. And after the accident I went to my friend Diana's house (from nursing school) and just talked to her for hours. She just listened to me and kept giving me hugs. It was exactly what I needed at the time!!
6) I am grateful for my health. Even though we have had some bumps and bruises along the way...I am still alive. I am grateful for no real harm coming to me and the lady in the car accident today. I am grateful for my family's health and having the ability to have them all here with me right now.
7) I am grateful for the roommates I have met here in Windsor Park. Jennifer has been a joy and makes me feel like I am hilarious. We have become best friends in less than 2 weeks. We can talk for hours and have learned so much about each other. She is going home tomorrow and I am sad to see her go but truly know it is the best for her right now in her life. Rachel has been such a strength to me. She is one of the sweetest girls I have met and her heart is full of service. She doesn't look badly on people who speak ill towards her and that is trait I would love to rub off on to me. I feel I will get to know her even better in the next couple of weeks. Even though she doesn't live her, she is still an active member of the ward. Tomorrow we will be going together to an activity. I really am grateful for the opportunity to meet both of them in my life.
8) I could go on for hours. Not the last or least...I am grateful for the gospel, priesthood, and being taught true standards. I am grateful for my Heavenly Father and I have faith in the plan He has for me. I know right now I feel like I am hanging on to a thread...actually, more like a tissue...but I know there is more for me. I am meant to do more and be more. I still have a long life to live with more trenches to climb through. But I feel strong knowing no matter what, I have my Heavenly Father guiding and directing. And with this, I know I will make it!!
