What were they thinking?

So a couple months ago I became the Activity Co-Chair for my ward. I know...I laughed too. :) I have always been put in Visiting Teaching...Oh wait I was a FHE mother, but that didn't last long and I was put back into Visiting Teaching. They first asked me to be a part of the activity committee and I was like, "Phew...not the co-chair. I can handle helping on activities." Later I came to find out I was put in there to take over for Andrea, one of the co-chairs. Sweet! ;)

I have actually really enjoyed being in activities. It has made me come out of my comfort zone and get to know more people within the ward and other wards. My first assignment was to put together a backdrop for the Ditch Your Date Stake Dance. The theme was Beauty and the Geek. My inspiration all started with a desk Jarom bought at Savers for his room and expanded into a classroom theme.
My ward was also in charge of decoration. Jaime and Rick really helped me pull everything off that night. As you can notice...I am in my school scrubs. I had to come straight from clinical that day.
We were the first ones to smile in front of the camera.

I don't know why but I really like this one. Maybe it is because it felt so natural. There are a lot of times Rick is acting like a dork and we are all laughing at him (clarification: not with him). :)
So minus Jarom because he was being a bum last night...This consists of a lot of the STP. For those who don't know...That stands for the Same Ten People which normally go to everything and hang out together.
Now this picture below almost went viral due to some stupid comments made on it. What I learned from the comments...I have a lot of people who love me :) And yes...white girl CAN'T jump unless it is off a chair. The majority of people really got into character with the backdrop and made some really awesome pictures. These are some of my favorite from the night:

Well, that is the latest and the greatest from my life :)

It Strike Again...

This new intervention was for my friend Paul Richardson. One problem...he had the sign. So we decided to trick him by telling Paul the intervention was actually for Mike. I was able to catch his reaction on film...
Michael Wells started us off for the night. But why Paul? Well he has an issue about taking is shirt off in public. Although this might seem innocent, the effects are not.
Randall jumped in next to address his concerns about Paul's shirtlessness.
Jarom, of course, threw in a legal aspect about the law suits Paul could be the subject of if he wasn't careful. Ryan, Paul's Brother, had some words to say
I have to say I have some pretty cool friends and they are really funny.
Rick giving his speech.

This is Paul pondering all the amazing comments and concerns his friends had for him and his bad habit.
