Katie came down to visit me for two nights.
She drove down Sunday night and headed back Tuesday morning.
It seemed so short but I don't think my bank account could handle another day!!
Life consisted of lots of talking, laughing, shopping, and eating!!
All things we do great!!
Erin headed home until Fall Semester, so we took over her room. We brought my mattress over and made a big bed on the floor. We ended up talking until 3-4 AM catching up. This led to a later start on Monday...
...Zupas and The Cheesecake Factory were a MUST...
We didn't take the phrase "Shopping 'til you drop" lightly because we didn't get home until around 10PM. Katie truly discovered the joy City Creek has to offer. We then headed back to the good old University Mall where I showed her my new favorite store...Francesca's Collections. The night of shopping ended at Target where I found my FaVORite sweat pants on SaLe!! Oh happy day. :)While trying to recover from feeling stuffed from all the food we had consumed...we both got hit with a wave of nausea...
Praying we didn't get food poisoning, we decided to watch a movie to take our minds off of our stomachs slowly killing us.
Charlie St. Cloud was the movie of choice and it did the job BECAUSE...
...A hour into the movie we decided to devour the cheesecake we saved.
What can we say... we were too full at the restaurant and leaving The Cheesecake Factory without cheesecake is a crime ESPECIALLY when it's 50% off. Just saying...
Tuesday Morning consisted of our alarms going off over and over until we finally rolled out of bed at 8:10AM when we needed to be to Kneeders (at Riverwoods) by 8:30AM. Needless to say... we got ready super fast. But the lack of sleep was totally worth it because we got to have a yummy breakfast with sweet McKenzie. I always love getting together with my friends from King Henry. It is SO fun to see the different directions our lives have taken. And no matter what...I know we will do whatever we can to stay in touch. They are my best friends and we have been though so much together!! It just makes me smile when we can find a way together, even if it is just two or three of us at a time.
After breakfast, I took Katie to her car and said goodbye...
...for now.
I just don't think words can explain how happy I was to have Katie with me for a few days. She truly is one of my best friends. We just get each other. There aren't any secrets between us. She is someone I can always confide in and know she will always have my back. I wish we lived closer, but the distance just makes the time we do have together even better.
I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!
