Bonfire!!

On Saturday night I went to a bonfire with about twenty people from my ward. We went up to Vivian Park up the Canyon. It was so much fun. The guys used pallets to lite the fire, even though there is a specific sign that says not too.

I know...we hardly smile in pictures.

Justin put his food in his mouth before he knew the first picture failed. So he looks like a total loser in this picture.

So people thought it would be funny to jump over the fire...including Katie. She luckily didn't get burnt and I got an amazing picture!

Last Home Football Game!

It was the last home BYU Football Game on Saturday, November 8th. BYU beat San Diego 41 to 12. This year football has been really exciting. My tickets were always grouped with Jarom and occasionally some other friends; Mike, Danielle Carter, Jordan, Dean, and Ryan.

For the last quarter I went to sit by my roommates and other friends. It was sad to have the football season end. I actually enjoy watching football and can't wait until next year.

The last game is this weekend against Utah!

Decorating the Apartment

We have been wanting to decorate our apartment for the last couple of weeks. This was my contribution...

The artwork in the middle is McKenzie's. I just added to it. We are going to put pictures on them as soon as we develop some.

Make-out Session with My Door

I came home to find to find mybedroom door looking like this...

Jill and Katie appearently really needed to kiss something and my door became the victum. It made me laugh and I hated having to clean if off for cleaning checks later that week.

Go Wildcats!!

I am a huge fan of High School Musicle and it the third one came out on Friday, October 24th. My roommates and I went that night to see it. I was of the course the biggest fan and needed to celebrate this amazing occasion. Katie was kind enough to join in with me. We went to Walmart to get shirts. Of course, the only shirts were in kid sizes. I ended up finding a nightgown on sale and Katie found a tanktop. We went home and got ready. We felt like twelve year olds, so we dressed the part. I did my hair in high pigtails and Katie did her hair up in a bun. Getting dressed up made the night so much more eventful and memorable.

Jill, McKenzie, Erin, Katie, and I all went to dinner at Thai Ruby before the showing. Thanks to Monica, I am now addicted to Thai food and can't pass up any opportunity to eat it. The movie was amazing and I had tons of fun. After the first song in the movie was over I turned to Jill and said,"5 minutes is already done." As stupid and childish as it sounds, I love HSM because it is so corny and relaxing. I don't have to worry about hearing or seeing something I wish I didn't. As soon as I got home, I downloaded the CD from iTunes to help me last until the movie comes to DVD. :)

Mom and Tami went to see it together on a Girls' Night together and I wish I would of been with them. I miss the late night movies we would go too!
Just to let everyone know...Twilight will be coming out in 11 days on Friday November 21st. Be so excited.

Halloween Never Ends

This year for Halloween we went to a party at the Hollywood Apartments. We didn't end up getting there until 10:00pm and stayed until about 12:30am. They had a DJ there and played pretty good music. Most of which I have just become accustomed to this semester.

To switch our costumes up a little bit, Katie and I did our hair different. I did a side crimped ponytail and she did...well...I don't know...but it was amazing...

I won't be doing my hair like this ever again...especially the bangs!

I just need to say something about Halloween. I don't get why everyone, specifically the LDS community, feel that they can dress immodest on this one day of the year. So many people feel it is alright to throw their standards away because what they are wearing is a 'costume.' Some times I think it is pent up desires and Halloween is an excuse. I can't even count on my fingers how many young adults that are endowed were not wearing costumes. (I am not saying only endowed LDS members are to blame.) Now, I haven't been through the temple, but I do know they are not living up to the covenants they made in the temple. I think it is so disrespectful they feel it is alright to take their garments off for Halloween. Why would you even want to dress up in a costumes that makes you lower your standards. I felt bad because I cut my neck to big on my 80's shirt. This Halloween I saw some of the sluttiest and inappropriate costumes and I was in Provo, Utah. All I can say is...that is sad.

Skating into Halloween

Halloween was quite eventful because I celebrated it twice in one week. King Henry Apartments sponsored everyone who lives there to go Rollar Skating for FHE. Since it was the week of Halloween, costumes were pretty much manditory. Jill, McKenzie, and Erin dressed up like nerds. Katie and I dressed up in 80's clothes.

To make our 80's costume a little more fun, Katie and I ran to Walmart before FHE. We got some fake eyelashes and fake nails. It was my first time with both that night. I have bought fake nails before, but have never glued them on...I just always used the stickers that didn't work. My fake nails were in the French Manicure style, but instead of white tips they were...wait for it...argile...yes...argile!! I couldn't resist.

My calling in the ward is FHE Mom. Basically I have a 'husband' who helps me plan activities for our 'family'. Since everyone in our family gets along really well, the rollar skating activity wasn't enough. They wanted to carve pumpkins before going to the rink. So, we did...

Some peope got really into it and others just enjoyed watching. I personally had no desire to carve a pumpkin but to cook the seeds. I love pumpkin seeds!

After the pumpkin carving event, we cleaned up and headed over to Classic Skate. It was so much fun dressing up in 80's clothes because we actually had to use Rollar Skates. It was fun having everyone at King Henry invited. I got to run into tons of people I know who live there, but I never see. I ran into some people from my freshman ward who are now living at King Henry.

The night quickly came to the end. I ended up falling several times because, well, it's me! We were some of the last to leave that night. We had so much fun hanging out, but I don't know if I have a desire to rollar skate ever again. I have no problem with rollar blade because you can actually control you directs...rollar skates are almost imposible.

Corn Maze

For an FHE activity with the whole ward, we went down to Thanksgiving Point. I love going there to see how they celebrate different holidays. For Halloween, they had tons of random boothes set up and different activity. On of the activities was a corn maze that looks like David Archaleto's face...when I should say...looked like David Archaleto's face. After the millions of children and college student stumping the corn stocks down, it didn't really look like anything.

It was my first time, that I remember, going through a corn maze. I thought I was going to get frustrated and hate the whole experience. Going through the corn maze was actually really fun. My whole apartment plus Aaron Lucky and Dane worked through it together. We got stuck for a bit, but eventually found our way back. The most memorable through the corn maze was when Erin was walking really fast and not paying any attention to where she was going and ran into this wood barrier that stop people from going out of the corn maze. She it is really hard and flew backwards on the ground...she got clothes-lined by a piece of wood. It looked so painful, but was so funny because it happened out of no where. But this wasn't the first or the last time Erin ate dirt, she fell countless times throughout the whole corn maze. To her credit, the whole had tons of pot holes, but the pot holes got the best of her.
After finally finishing the corn maze, we couldn't resist the 12x12 foot box filled like a sand box, but with corn kernals. Since it was about 9:oopm, most of the 2-5 year old kids were gone, so we went in. It was tons of fun.

We buried Dane in the corn. It was cute when this 3 or 4 year came over and started helping us.
I pushed Jill over and she pulled me down with her.

Erin would what she would like if she got a breast enhancement...needless to say she didn't decided against it.
People got corn where corn shouldn't go! When Jill got home she emptied her back pockets which contained about 3 cups of corn in them. I am proud to say I didn't have one kernal anywhere in my clothes.

Bowling!

Last Wednesday a couple of us decided to go bowling for a break from studying. At Fat Cats it is the cost of shoes and one game to bowl as much as you would like until closing. Jarom, Jill, Ryan, Mike, and I ended up going 45 minutes to reserve three lanes. I know...three lanes...wow!! We had over 15 people show up. While waiting to for nine o'clock roll around, we went to Costa Vida to get drinks and sodas. We ended up bumping into Nathan and Amanda and they joined our cool group.Instead of bowling like everyone else in the world, we added a twist. Ryan bought a HUGE bag of Skittles. On your turn you had to draw a Skittle. Depending on what Skittle you got, you were given a "way" to bowl.

Here are some of our AMAZING bowling skills.

Allow me to explain the top one on the left. I have to give Erin the award for "The Best Moment of the Night." She drew a purple Skittle and had to do a running start. Well, she run with all her heart and wasn't quite able to stop. She did after slipping and making out with the floor. She biffed it. It is by far the best fall I have ever seen while bowling and I have seen a lot!

It was tons of fun bowling again. I love bolwing and stayed all the way until they closed. It was cool because a lot of our group left, leaving Ryan, Jarom, and I with a lane each. Jill jumped in on our lanes once in a while and Mike just listened to music on his iPhone. I don't know what that boy looks like with out ear-plugs in his ears.
