Why Not!

I haven't ever been real big into New Year Resolutions. I believe you should always be trying to improve, learn, and grow. But I do love being inspired and striving towards something new and better. This year I decided to have a theme..."WHY NOT?!" This came to me last week when I went to a movie with Jarom. We went and saw "We Bought a Zoo" and it was amazing!! It wasn't amazing because there was this crazy, romantic love story that ended happily ever after or a man who catches himself on a ledge as he is plummeting to his death and miraculously flings himself into the closest window. It was amazing because it was real life. It was someone taking a chance to improve his and his family's life. Spoiler Alert: At the end, Benjamin (father) takes his two kids to the cafe where he first met their mother (who recently passed away). He explains the story of how they met and how he was walking pass the cafe when he saw her sitting at a table inside. "All it takes is 20 seconds of insane courage and great things will happen." Benjamin headed into the cafe to talk to her when the only thing that he could say was "Why would a beautiful woman like you talk to a stranger like me?" The woman said "Why not?" And this is when I said to myself...why not? I am at a great point in my life to take chances, learn, grow, push myself, and be spontaneous. As selfish as this might sound...my only responsibilities in my life right now are to me and my life. My mom always tells me it is my time in life to be selfish. I don't have a husband or children to take care of or be accountable too. Now being a wife and mother is my true desire but until then...why not?

* I want to make new memories with friends.
* I want to be more spontaneous.
* I want to go on a cruise with my friends and travel to places other than Shingle Springs, CA. Don't get me wrong...I DO LOVE THAT PLACE!! But I want to see other cultures and explore.
* I want to run a 5K.* I want to continue to grow spiritually and serve. I love the pure joy that comes with service.
* I want to take a photography class.
* I want to take more cake decorating classes. I love being creative and this is an outlet.
* I want to publish my first blog book and be a better at writing a journal.
* I want to be independent financially (thanks parents!!) and love the job that makes it possible.
* I want to visit home and see my niblings's milestones.
* I want to take a boxing class or pilates class at least two times a week.
* I want to feel comfortable with myself and loose my insecurities.
* I want to find love.

Why? ... Why Not?!!
