Divine Comedy and Bonfire!

Jarom was such a sweet brother and bought me a Divine Comedy Ticket. Just to give you a clue how popular they are the tickets opened up Monday morning and were SOLD OUT by 4:00pm on Monday.

I went with a lot of Jarom's friends and it was fun to hang out with them.

Divine Comedy had some really great skits, but the night didn't end there...
IT WAS BONFIRE TIME!!
It was great just going and relaxing with friends. I also got to hang out with some of my cousins and cetch up with their life.
As you can tell it was a sucessful night full of great amusement.

BRYAN + SODA = A HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Ashley called me about two weeks ago asking if I could help her make Bryan's birthday cake. The first step was picking the theme so we could come up with a cake idea. When Ashley and I were trying to come up with an idea, we were like what reminds us of him...SODA!
So Friday morning Ashley came over with Caden to make the cake. I taught Ashley some of the secrets in cake decorating to help her for future reference. It was fun having Ashley come over to my apartment and just hanging out. The cake overall turned out great. The only thing I would fix next time is to not use the decorating gel...it just doesn't work with gravity. I thought it would so cool to use them for the Pepsi sign because they were shinny. Other than that, I have no complaints.
Jarom and I met over at Bryan and Ashley's Friday evening around 6:00pm to celebrate Bryan being one step closer to looking over the hill. The best part was surprising Bryan with the cake. He had no idea what the theme was, therefore no idea what the cake would look like.

I was proud of how cool the layers looked. And yes, there are 5 layers of cake!

Not only did we make him a DIET soda cake (a little ionic if you ask me), but Mom, Dad, and I got Bryan a basket full of a variety of soda. He was so excited and surprised. Mom wanted to give him the Easter Eggs because they are SO good. I wanted to give him a cornbread mix from Trader Joes because we all know how great they are. It was a fun gift to give.
