Flashback...

Here are some memories over the last couple of months I didn't blog about...
Once upon a time Ashley had surgery. This occurred when I was staying with her at the apartment and Bryan was in California. I was watching the two kids in the morning. I was to get a call when Ashley was out of surgery to come pick her up. When I got this call, I dropped Caden of with Kyle and Leslie (Brashley's friends...love them) so I could go get her...It would just be easier without Caden. My knowledge of OR was lacking before this day...I didn't know that when the doctor told you she was out of surgery, that didn't mean she would be ready to leave in about 30 minutes. The protocol is to have the patient wait in PACU for about 45-60 minutes or until they have passed off on this checklist. Then they go into recovery for another 30 minutes and they are ready to leave. When I showed up with Parker, Ashley was only in PACU for 10 minutes. Again...I didn't know so I waited until she went to recovery. The desk lady didn't tell me how long...so I just chilled. I played with Parker and just smiled at him...which is all that darling boy needs. Finally I got to go back there. I hung out with Ash for about 30 minutes. But of course Ashley is a red head, so she didn't fair to well with the drugs. I ended up having to leave because Parker needed a nap, diaper change, and food...and Ashley needed, well quiet time. haha. I ended up picking Caden up and going to take him to get some food. He was a mess when I picked him up...just tired. But Ashley would need to be picked up in about 30 minutes...not long enough for me to go home. So I took the boys to go get something to eat. But they both had different plans and fell asleep in the car. I didn't want to leave the car running while I waited for Ash and I didn't want to wake the boys up. My solution...see above. I went to the underground parking lot at the hospital where it was cooler and rolled the windows down and hung out. haha It was awesome and worked perfectly. I was able to pick Ashley up and the boys got a nap. Even though it was a crazy morning...I loved every minute of it. The boys just make me smile so much and I would do anything for them. And Ashley, well she is just so appreciative I can't help but love helping her.
Caden and I spent a lot of quality time together this summer. He came to help me clean my apartment before I checked out. But apparently not well enough because King Henry took some money from me.
...He got a cupcake anyway...
I left King Henry which was my home for about two years. I met some of my best friends and cant believe how quickly time flies.
The death of a beloved car. My dad is smiling because even though he lost something that meant so much to him and held so many memories...he was gaining the opportunity to create a new friendship with a new car.
