Spontaneous Trip Home??? I Think So!!

This adorable little boy was born just following my birthday. I strongly disliked not being able to be there following the birth and to help out with the two brothers. It was hard because I have been so blessed to be around the majority of my niblings births. My parents ended up coming to Utah the day after Owen birthday to hangout and spend time with Jarom and I. And while they were here, I had a small break of feeling homesick. I was doing ok after they left until I heard Jarom and Hayley were flying out for a weekend. Hayley found a special from Delta for $200 round trip tickets.

$200.00 ROUND TRIP TICKETS???

That is unheard of!! Normally a One-way is over $200. I was SO jealous. I wanted to be there to see little Owen Jack and I definitely wanted to be there to watch Hayley meet the other siblings. This weekend would not go un-noticed in future events...and I didn't want to be the only one unable to understand the jokes and stories. I had this weekend off from work and desparately wanted to be home. I was feeling so homesick. Can you blame me??? If only the Niblings weren't so dang cute...

So as you can tell from the pictures... I bought the tickets. I flew home April 27th and came back April 30th. I know in the future I won't be able to drop everything and book it to California...(I am also hoping to live there)...But for now, I can every once in awhile. I don't regret it AT ALL. It was just what I needed. Some highlights from the week:

* Tami got me motivated to run.

* The unsurprised look on Jarom & Hayley's face when they saw I bought a ticket out as well (they didn't know).

* The love and support of my parents.

* Walking around the property with The Weasle (aka Parker)

 * Holding my new and absolutely sweet nephew Owen Jack!!
