TurboTwister

The Phipps House has a new addition...The TurboTwister Slide. It is SO much fun and there are going to be a lot of great memories made with it.

The Slide is HUGE and TONS of FUN!!

Tami was the first one to adventure down the slide.
She looks SO small.
Makayla was next to tackle the slide...

And that is about how it went until I turned off the camera, climbed up, and pushed. She wasn't mad though...she thought it was loads of fun. Sometime Makayla needs a little push to try new things. She ended up going down the slides about 15 times that night.

As Evan would say...COOL...AWESOME...COOL!!

Meet My Husband to Be...

Mom, Tami, Ashley, and I went to a David Archuleta Concert on Thursday July 16th!! It was actually a Demi Lavato concert and David was an opener...but not for us.
This is what I saw...
And this is how I reacted...
I was pretty much amazing to hang out with all night.
Tami and I bought shirts...but was the true fan of David's.
Tami bought a Demi shirt because she loves her hair...so easily swayed.

Half way through Tami didn't feel like she was fitting in with the 13 year olds enough...

We all just had so much fun hanging out and laughing a ton.

None of us really knew Demi's music so it gave us some time to relax from dancing and screaming an octive higher they we ever should.
The Concert was a Blast and I loved spending time with my Best Friends!!

Let Me Get That For You Baby Girl!!

KATIE CAME FOR A VISIT
Friday July 10th
Katie flew into the sunny California around 1:00pm. We stopped and grabbed some food on the way to my house. We didn't have much planned this evening because Evan was turning three and we party hard for birthdays...As you can tell by Ashley in this photo.
Saturday July 11th
So Katie and I were off to beautiful Tahoe to hang out at Sand Harbor with all my family (The Brashley clan and wt clan). It was so relaxing just laying on the beach relaxing. It went from overcast to sunny to stormy within 5 hours and still managed to be a blast.

After the beach we headed back to the apartment my dad owns with my uncle. Katie and I stayed the night, but everyone else traveled back home. Katie and I went to a Thia Resturant for dinner. But we got take out and just came back to the apartment and relax. It was tons of fun having a sleepover.

Monday July 13th
I don't have any pictures of this day but we went to Sun Splash in Roseville with the Shingle Springs YSA. The best part was getting in for FREE!! The last time I went to this water park was years ago, so it was fun going back. The rides are still just as fun.

Tuesday July 14th
WHAT A DAY!! WOW...WHERE TO START!!

Katie and I headed off to Santa Cruz with the plan of going to the Mystery Spot and Boardwalk. But plans change. We were minutes from entering the Mystery Spot when Monica called to tell me about the opportunity to get tickets through a lottery for $25 to see Wicked in San Francisco. So Katie and I forewent the Boardwalk, but did go to the Mystery Spot.

I didn't know how to describe the Mystery Spot adequately so I googled it.

The Mystery Spot is a gravitational anomaly located in the redwood forests just outside of Santa Cruz, California. It is a circular area of effect around 150 feet or 46 meters in diameter. Within the Mystery Spot you will be stunned as your perceptions of the laws of physics and gravity are questioned. But don't take our word for it, come and decide for yourself!

The Mystery Spot was discovered in 1939 by a group of surveyors and opened to the public in 1940. The Mystery Spot has amazed and perplexed hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world, and many return time and time again to experience these puzzling variations of gravity, perspective, and height.

Some speculate that cones of metal were secretly brought here and buried in our earth as guidance systems for their spacecraft. Some think that it is in fact the spacecraft itself burried deep within the ground. Other theories include carbon dioxide permeating from the earth, a hole in the ozone layer, a magma vortex, the highest dielectric biocosmic radiation known anywhere in the world, and radiesthesia. Whatever the cause is, it remains a mystery.

Here are some pics...the first ones are when Katie and I were waiting for our tour.

This next one is brought to you by the Mystery Spot Gift Shop.

After the Mystery Spot we headed straight to San Francisco betting on pretty bad odds. Katie and I have the worst luck ever, but decided to go for it anyway. You would think practically being taken out by buses driving to a Parking Garage would be the worse part but OH NO...try walking by bums. Katie and I refused to give this one bum money and he called a very nasty name. Katie and I just laughed but we both wanted to crap our pants. We kept walking with our arms linked and every time we got close to a homeless person we walked really fast with our heads down. SCARY!! So when we finally reached the theatre, we filled out some slips. Katie and I both had one and put down we wanted 2 tickets. While we waited for the lottery to start, we ran over and got a drink. We then returned and waited in their entrance.

Katie and I were just chilling on the back wall as they started calling names. The first one went and no surprise...it wasn't us. The second one came...and the lady said...MEGAN PHIPPS...AHHH...I WAS SO EXCITED. I just won tickets to the best play in San Francisco for $25!! We had two tickets and were set. On our way out we hear KATIE BARTON...KATIE BARTON GOING ONCE...TWICE...OK...LETS DRAW ANOTHER ONE. The crowd went crazy...Katie was the last one to win tickets if she would of excepted them. We both won and were in shock the whole night.
Wicked was amazing! I loved it!! Definitely would recommend it to anyone.
Wednesday July 15th
Katie and I met up with my family at Six Flags Discovery Amusement Park. It was so much fun.
Katie and I were separated from my family for most of it enjoying the big kid rides.
We met up with them for the whale and dolphin shows in between. It was a great day to be at the park.
There was hardly any lines. Katie loved Medusa and I loved V2. Half way through we got Dip N Dots...who can resist. It was a great way to spend the last day together.
Thursday July 16th
The dreadful day...Katie left me. We got up and let Katie pack. We stopped at Olive Garden on our way to the airport.
I am so glad Katie was able to come out and visit me. It was so much fun hanging out with her. I can't wait til Fall comes and we are back at King Henry with the rest of our 5 roommates. :)

Oh My Little Evan!!

EVAN IS NOW 3 YEARS OLD!!

Oh the words to describe Evan, but I think this pictures does a great job (especially if you know the story behind it).

Things I Love about Evan...

1) His little voice

2) The way he says 'Thank You' and 'Not Fair'

3) How he shows sympathy for the littlest things

4) The boxes of Band Aids he goes through daily

5) His expressions

I Just Love Everything about my little Evan!!
